Transport 21 and NDP
Transport 21 includes a provision of €100 million in exchequer grants for capital works, including both safety/security projects (Measure 1-90% grant rate) and developmental projects (Measure 2 75% grant rate) at the six regional airports over the next ten years.
In order to release these funds, the Department has devised a Capital Expenditure Grant Scheme focusing on the period to the end of 2010 and involving exchequer expenditure of €86.5 million.
This scheme replaces previous funding under the NDP.
