NOTICE TO ALL SHIPOWNERS, FISHING VESSEL OWNERS, AGENTS, SHIPMASTERS,  SKIPPERS, FISHERMEN, YACHTSMEN AND SEAFARERS

The Department of Transport wishes to advise that a Special Mark navigation buoy will be deployed at the proposed Wave Energy Test Site off  NW Mayo on the 30th October 2009. 

The position of this buoy is 54°13.920'N   10°08.820'W.

Flash characteristics are as follows: FL Y 3s.  

The range of the buoy is 4 Nautical miles and the height of the structure is 5m. 

The Topmark is a St. Andrews cross.

This buoy will be operational for the foreseeable future.
