Sectoral Plan for Accessible Transport under the Disability Act 2005 First Progress Report: 2006 - 2009

Section 31 of the Disability Act 2005, requires Ministers who are charged under the Act to produce Sectoral Plans, to prepare a report at least every three years outlining the progress made in implementing their Sectoral Plan, and to lay the progress report before each House of the Oireachtas.

The Department of Transports Progress Report for the period January 2006 to June 2009 was laid recently before each House of the Oireachtas and a copy can be downloaded by clicking on the link hereunder.

The Report is based on twice-yearly progress reports submitted by the Department to the high-level co-ordinating and monitoring structures for the National Disability Strategy. Stakeholders, including disability organisations, participate in these monitoring arrangements.
