The purpose of this audit is to check and monitor progress made on the Structure of the railways against the recommendations outlined in the  IRMS report of 1998 on railway safety. Within the scope of this study a number of generic areas were reviewed. This document describes issues relating to the Structures and aims to provide guidance and objective review of work performed by Iarnrod Eireann.
