To ask the Minister for Transport the correspondence or communications that have issued from his office over the decision of the State airline Aer Lingus to withdraw services on the Cork-Dublin route.

No correspondence or communications issued from my office in relation to this matter.  My officials informed me of Aer Lingus decision following notification by the Company.

The Cork - Dublin route is currently serviced by Aer Arann operating 7 daily services while Air Wales operate services twice daily.
