To ask the Minister for Transport the response he has received from Irish Rail with regard to the four recommendation contained in the report of the enquiry into a railway accident at Kiltoom, County Roscommon on 16 February 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I published in full on 30 October last the inspectors report into the Kiltoom railway incident in February 2001, together with Iarnród Éireanns response to the inspectors 4 recommendations.  These are available on my Departments website ( and I am arranging to send copies directly to the Deputy.
