The Railway Procurement Agency, which has responsibility for the Luas works, does not require a licence in respect of the laying of tracks across the archaeological site at Kingswood. I understand that the Agency has agreed,  however, to carry out appropriate mitigation work at the site. In this respect, Dúchas has issued archaeological excavation licences to permit the mitigation to be carried out and Dúchas has agreed to the laying of the tracks.

The Agency have assured me that they are liaising with Dúchas on an on-going basis in relation to Luas works carried out in this area.
