*To ask the Minister for Transport when a report (details supplied) on the future options for Aer Lingus will be published, in view of the fact that much of the elements contained in this confidential report have been reported in the national media in recent days; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Goldman Sachs Report in relation to the future of Aer Lingus is currently being considered by myself and my officials. It has also been circulated to the members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee which was established to examine all the issues relating to the future ownership of the airline and report back to Government. A meeting of this Committee will take place in the very near future.
It will be a matter for the Cabinet Sub-Committee to decide whether or not to publish this Report.
