Use of drilling unit Stena Spey as a temporary floating accommodation unit in connection with Seven Heads Gas Field Development Project  

The Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources wishes to advise that the offshore drilling unit Stena Spey will be deployed in the Celtic Sea to act as a temporary floating accommodation unit in support of construction work on the Kinsale Alpha Platform, associated with the Seven Heads Gas Field Development Project.

The drilling unit will be on location for a period of approximately 60 days, commencing 27 July 2003 at the following position:

Latitude: 51º 21 02.989 North
Longitude: 07º 55 48.851 West


All shipping is requested, at all times to give the drilling unit a wide berth of at least 500 metres.
